FSV Frankfurt extends winning streak - Regionalliga Südwest

FSV Frankfurt celebrated their fourth win in a row in the Regionalliga Südwest on Saturday afternoon. In front of 1,194 spectators on the Bieberer Berg, the team of coach Thomas Brendel clearly defeated the bottom side SV Eintracht Trier 05 with 4-1 (1-0). The goals for the home side were scored by Benjamin Girth (38th minute), Joshua Kaluanga (52nd), Kaan Aygün (58th) and Florian Treske (75th). The guests from the Moselle region, who suffered their sixth defeat in a row, managed to score a consolation goal through Murat Saglam (90th+1).
Bremen scores a brace against Koblenz
Meanwhile, Hessen Kassel missed the jump to third place in the table. The team of coach Tobias Damm lost 3-0 (1-0) to the leaders SC Freiburg II on Saturday evening. Max Breunig (35th), Vincent Vermeij (54th) and Gian-Luca Walz (78th) scored the goals for the Breisgau team, who are now one point ahead of FSV Frankfurt. In the table, Kassel slipped to sixth place. TSV Steinbach Haiger is now fourth after a 4:2 (0:0) win against TuS Koblenz. Rot-Weiß Koblenz slipped back to 14th place after the defeat.
FSV is now sixth
FSV Frankfurt is now sixth in the table with 37 points from 21 games. Trier remains bottom of the table with 13 points. In the next match, the Hessen team will travel to the Elversberg stadium next Saturday (March 4, 14:00). Trier will host TSV Schott Mainz on the same day (14:00).
