Lok Sabha Election Results to be Announced on June 4
Election Commission of India to Declare Outcome of 18th General Election
New Delhi, June 3:
The Election Commission of India (ECI) will announce the results of the 18th Lok Sabha election on Tuesday, June 4. The much-awaited declaration will mark the culmination of a month-long electoral process that saw a record turnout of voters. Over 600 million Indians exercised their franchise in the world's largest democracy, casting their votes for candidates from 543 parliamentary constituencies.
The ECI, an autonomous body responsible for conducting elections in India, has been working round-the-clock to ensure a fair and transparent counting process. Voting machines will be opened under strict security arrangements, and the votes will be tallied manually in the presence of candidates and their agents.
The counting process is expected to be completed within a few hours, and the ECI is likely to announce the results in the evening of June 4. The outcome of the election will determine the composition of the 18th Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament. The single largest party or coalition will be tasked with forming the next government.
